  2. Identify advantages and disadvantages and compare models.
  3. Identify strategies and methods to increase access. Establish effective ways to reduce wait lists.

"The impact of immigration on Latino student’s mental health” (1.5 credits)

  1. List common cultural factors amongst Latino/DACA students.
  2. Identify how immigration impacts Latino/DACA student’s mental health.
  3. Identify practical clinical strategies working with Latino/DACA students.

“Online Therapy in the California Community Colleges” (1.5 credits)
Panelists: Leslie Easton, LCSW, Bonnie Peters, MA, MS, Nadia Sayeh, LMFT, Timothy Leslie, LMFT Moderator: Colleen Ganley, CCC Chancellor’s Office 

 
After this training participants will be able to:
  1. Define the background on the Chancellor’s Office initiatives in online Therapy in CCC.
  2. Compare proposed models of implementation of online therapy.
  3. Identify best practices in conducting online therapy.​

*MHWA is a CE provider approved by the California Psychological Association to provide continuing professional education for psychologists. The Board of Behavioral Sciences recognizes CE credit from CPA approved providers for LCSWs, MFTs, LEPs, and LPCCs. MHWA’s CE programs meet the California Board of Nursing’s requirements for acceptable continuing education for BRN licensees.  MHWA maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

After registering, if you cannot attend the meeting, notify [email protected]  for a refund (prior to 10/5 or credit for a subsequent training).

ATTENDANCE POLICY
Those who attend full training and complete the appropriate evaluation form will receive CE credits. Those arriving more than 15 minutes after the start time or leaving before the training is completed will not receive CE credits.
